Getting Here
We love all modes of transport: walking, cycling, the TTC. To arrive by TTC the nearest stops are on Parliament. Coming from the west take the 506 streetcar or from Castle Frank Station take bus #65 south. There is also parking on the streets surrounding Riverdale Park.
Around the Market
Riverdale West Park is placed within Cabbagetown. It has a stunning view overlooking the Don Flats & the Don River – a beautiful watercourse in Toronto – also known by its two recorded Anishnaabe names: Nechengquakekonk and Wonscotanach.
The Riverdale Farm not only is Toronto’s only urban farm, but it is a representation of a rural farm in Ontario. It is home to many heritage breeds of farm animals. You can tour the farm for free all year round and walk through winding wooded areas, around ponds, and into butterfly-herb-flower-vegetable gardens.
Also situated at the Farm is the Cabbagetown Regent Park Museum. The museum protects the shared unique cultural, anthropological and architectural history of Cabbagetown and our friendly neighbours of Regent Park.
The historic, tree scaped Necropolis Cemetery lies just across the street from the farmers’ market.
September is an exciting season with Cabbagetown Festival taking over Riverdale Park, Parliament Street, Sumach Street, businesses, restaurants & homes!
